DUNKIRK - The State University at Fredonia Technology Incubator has added iKoss Consulting, a woman-owned management consulting firm.
iKoss specializes in process and organizational transition services, change management, content writing, editing and synthesis.
Incorporated in 2011, iKoss' managing partners collectively have 15 and 20 years experience in consulting.
"Having the ability to work in the same building as other technology-based start-ups is a tremendous opportunity," said Jennifer Koss, iKoss owner and managing partner. "iKoss is already experiencing the value add of being a member of SUNY Fredonia's Technology Incubator. The resources and support available is allowing us to focus and streamline our operations quicker than we had originally scoped out in our business plan."
iKoss has added five employees beyond the original founders.
"We are excited to announce iKoss as our newest business," said Robert Fritzinger, SUNY Fredonia Technology Incubator director. "This is a dynamic and progressive start-up company that displays a wide variety of knowledge and talent. As a woman-owned business, the company enhances the diversity of the entrepreneurial pool housed in our facility. In addition, iKoss has opportunities to assist our other startups in their development and growth."
The SUNY Fredonia Technology Incubator is a university-sponsored economic development initiative that supports entrepreneurs and business start-ups in the technology sector and related industries. Since it officially opened in December 2009, it is ahead of its growth projections and houses 17 start-up companies. Earlier this year, the incubator was a finalist in the Rookie of the Year award presented by InfoTech Niagara, an organization that promotes technology companies, entrepreneurs and students interested in technology.
