Bemus Point is basically the Donald Trump of the WNY school districts. We always feel so bad when things are a tinge not perfect and all not happy happy. The good ship lollipop always manages to sail and stay on course. What is that poverty level & staid aid % again ?

they didn't mention how sending kids with special needs to other schools helps their numbers too.

Duckster, not sure what is meant by your second statement but anyway, thankful the budget was passed; in my opinion, so many thought it would automatically pass the first time so residents didn't spread the word to show up and vote; perhaps the failure to pass was a great signal to our community that our support is necessary and needed......we do have one of the best schools around by every measurement. Good job to all who make it that way.

This voting (the 1st vote) shows some in this area have a backwards way of thinking. Education is the sole building block of the future.

Bemus point is consistently the school with the lowest percentage of students who are at economic disadvantage, usually right around 10% most schools in the county are 30% plus. The school doesn't have to provide costly but needed social services that poor schools do. They should take advantage of this, not by voting down budgets but by offering more, to give their students the best education.
