Hmmm, maybe we shouldn't be wasting our time on gun control right now. We need to stop trying to gain political points with gun control. Politicians are focusing on legal gun owners rights and not solving the issue. A gun free zone is a magnet for people looking for revenge and/or glory. They don't care what laws they are breaking. Why don't the governor and Washington look how they are going to solve our vulnerable schools and other gun free zones. I don't care if it is a legal gun or an illegal gun. You can enact any law you wish, and our kids are still in harms way. We need to be spending time, effort, and money on protection. If guns become a 100 percent illegal, you will have someone with a knife or bomb. We need protection in the schools. We need to stop liberals from wasting our time and money. How much have we spent looking at consolidations and gun control? The liberals seem to think everything will be better. Less police and guns, it will be Candyland.

Yes, in fact both this shooting as well as the one in Webster may been inspired by the Conn. shooting hoopla.

There seems to be an underlying common thread among many of these shootings(in addition or along with the mental disease or defect, prolonged drug use-legal and illegal) and that is the murderer's goal of getting back at someone(or many). To get retribution for some wrong, perceived or real, that has been committed against them. And, I think they choose this method because of the attention it will garner. This is why the media should be careful. The media needs to report the incidents, but not make these incidents live on and on and take on a life of their own.

I am tired of guns in the news I am a gun owner. will my kid take a gun to school absolutely not! Worse then dealing with the authorities he would deal with me family and the whipping of 20 life times before the cops got their turn.

Thank GOD I dont have to pay for this version of the paper cause I sure wouldnt buy this kind of news!

What? Not an a "assault rifle"? No "large clip"? Birdshot - hunting gun. I bet this kid knew that he would not be confronted in this "gun free" zone. Mayor Teresi said in this morning's PJ that does not want to ban these weapons. Will he now? A 16 year old kid just exposed the liberals.
