A List Of Reasons To Hate Donald Trump

To The Reader’s Forum:

Some of my friends ask me why I don’t like our president. Let me count the ways …

Leaving aside his mistreatment of women, his habitual lying, and his bullying, here are the reasons:

He pushed through a huge tax bill that benefits wealthy folks — the rest of us, not so much.

He insulted Puerto Ricans when he went there after the island was devastated by a class 4 hurricane by tossing rolls of paper towels to the crowd, when what they needed was rapid reconstruction of water and electric facilities.

He viciously mocks disabled people, and people who are hurting.

The tax bill he got passed created the biggest deficit in history, threatening inflation. Then when the Fed raises interest rate to counter inflation, he blames the Fed.

He imposed tariffs on imports, thereby to “save American jobs,” thereby encouraging manufacturing companies to move outside the country, and at the same time costing Americans more to purchase imported goods.

He treats the Constitution as if it were an annoyance. He has violate the emoluments clause by deriving income from his business interests.

He is a cheater — he cheats on his wife, and he cheats people he employs.

He also misuses the bankruptcy laws — opening casinos, skimming money off the top, then putting them through bankruptcy.

He claims credit for a booming economy, when, in fact, it was President Obama (Who he hates) who set the stage with his policies which saved the country from arguably a larger depression that the one in 1932-39.

He uses language unbecoming to anyone, much less the president of the United States.

He encourages violence — and we have seen an up-tick in violence across the country.

He has encouraged neo-Nazis, calling them “some very fine people.”

Is that enough? It should be plenty of ammunition to disqualify anybody from holding any public office.
