To The Reader’s Forum:

Mr. Walton, I too am a pistol permit holder for both New York and Pennsylvania. I also own an AR-15 that I might add has never killed anyone nor will it but that is besides the point because that does not fit the left’s narrative about such weapons.

But this is not why I am responding to your letter to the paper. Whenever someone from the Republican Party says or does something that the other side does not agree with they resort to name-calling. Mr. Reed is a good man. He has helped my family personally several times navigate some tough issues we faced without hesitation. And while I may not always agree with everything he does in office I truly believe he has the peoples best interest’s at heart. The times my family has needed his help he has been there to lend a hand and an ear. I have seen the Congressman Tom Reed. I have also seen my friend Tom, a regular guy like you and me, who cares about the USA like no other. He is beholden to no one but the people who put him in office so let’s stop with the name-calling and insults. Your point gets lost after that. I’ll gladly have a civil debate with anyone. This is the greatest country in the world . God Bless the USA.
