Crist Michos
Crist Michos died peacefully at home on Sunday, Nov. 30 with his beloved daughter, Jennifer, at his side.
Crist was born on Dec. 25,1944 in Jamestown, New York, the youngest of seven children. He was a lifelong resident of Jamestown. Crist graduated from Jamestown High School in 1963. He received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the State University of New York at Fredonia in 1968 and then began his career at Lutheran Social Services. He held various key positions there until his retirement in 2005. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for the children in his care or the institution that he served to improve the quality of the services available to the residents and to the staff who also served there.
Crist was an avid golfer and took full advantage of his membership at Moon Brook Country Club for years. He enjoyed weekly matches with his closest friends and fellow golf buddies, both there and for years during the Winter months in Florida.
Crist was predeceased in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Robin Patric Michos; his parents, Angelo Alex and Helen Michos; his father and mother-in-law, Marvin and Mary Helen Patric; his siblings, Jean Michos Wardi, Mary Michos Riolo, Thomas Michos and son-in-law Robert Hanson.
Crist is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Helene; his sisters, Elizabeth and Alexandra Michos; his brother, George Michos; his step-grandsons, Nicholas and Timothy Hanson; his brothers and sisters-in- law, Lowell and Nancy Patric, Todd and Annette Patric and Dana and Davis Frame; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
We would like to acknowledge Dr. Frederick Tonetti for the exceptional care he provided Crist throughout his journey with cancer.
