George A. Ward

He was born on December 28, 1949, in Westfield NY, a son of the late Harry F.Ward and Betty Kilbury Ward. He graduated from Westfield Academy and Central School.

He served in the U.S. Army, held management positions in manufacturing, and retired after enjoying a successful career in commercial real estate in Erie, PA area.

George was a dedicated Buffalo Bills and Sabres fan. He loved golfing, boating fishing, playing softball, and researching and debating politics

George was preceded in death by the love of his life, Deborah Christensen Ward, his parents, grandparents, brother Michael Ward, and niece Kristie Ward.

George is survived by his daughter Tracy Palmer (Jason), Erie, PA; his grandchildren Amber Rehberg of Aurora, CO; Nicholas Palmer of Erie; Caleb Palmer of Erie, and a great-granddaughter Alaina Palmer. Also, surviving are his siblings, Lynda Gressner, Mary Ward, David (Fran) Ward, Julie Holland, Jeaneanne (Jon) Colwell, Harry (Sandy) Ward, Stephen Ward, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 5-7 PM on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville, NY (139 S. Erie St). A private time of remembrance will be held by the family immediately after.
