Dru A. Cole

Dru A. Cole, 64, of 1872 S. Maple Ave., Ashville, passed away with her husband and daughters by her side on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa.

She was the wife of Scott D. Cole whom she married May 11, 2004.

Dru was born December 30, 1957 in Jamestown, a daughter of Dorothy Johnson Pettit and the late William J. Pettit. Following graduation from Southwestern Central School, she attend-ed Jamestown Community College, SUNY Fredonia, and received her Master’s Degree from Mercyhurst University.

In earlier years, she taught BOCES GED classes in Jamestown, followed by several years teaching at Panama Central School. Dru was then a Special Education teacher at the Ashville BOCES until her recent retirement.

Dru emphatically enjoyed scrapbooking and was active in several scrap-booking groups.

Along with her husband, Scott, and her mother, Dorothy of Busti, Dru is survived by two daughters, Monica Pratton and Samantha Cole (Zach Davis), both of Jamestown; four grandchildren, Samuel Arrington, Brielle Pratton, Thomas Pratton, and Camden Biscup; two sisters, Wendy Pettit of Lexington, KY and Debbie Swan (Jeff) of Busti; as well as count-less children that she has cared for and guided throughout her career.

In addition to her father, William, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Pratton.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 28th in the Panama Baptist Church. The Rev. Andrew Cook will of-ficiate. Inurnment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home.
