Angeline M. Maas

Angeline M. Maas, 79, of Park Street, Jamestown, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk.

She was born Jan. 11, 1943, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Frank and Mamie Cimino Scarpino.

Angeline attended Jamestown High School and was a communicant of St James Catholic Church.

Before retirement, she was employed at Chautauqua Hardware for 27 years in the shipping department.

She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed making wonderful meals for her family. She was a hardworking woman who was kind and funny and loved to watch golf with her husband, James, and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.

Angeline is survived by her husband, James A. Maas, whom she married in 1988; her children: Gregory (Annie) Cordosi, Joe (Lisa) Cordosi, Lisa Gibbs, David Michael (Amanda) Cordosi; 11 grandchildren: Gregory (Sonya) Gibbs, Ethan Gibbs, Kaleb (Megan) Gibbs, Taige White, Zoe White, Rachel Cordosi, Sam Cordosi, Cross Cordosi, Mackenzie Cordosi, Taylor Cordosi and Ciara Cordosi; five great-grandchildren: Payton Gibbs, Sebastian “Sebby” Gibbs, Caiden Gibbs, Finn Gibbs and Olive Gibbs; two brothers: Frank (Kay) Scar-pino and Jimmy (Roger) Scarpino; and several nieces and nephews.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. No visitation will be observed.
