Gerald A. LaBelle

He was born Sept. 14, 1939, in Painesville, Ohio, a son of the late James L. and Genevieve Stickney LaBelle, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1958-61.

A contractor in the Jamestown area for many years, Jerry was a member of the American Legion. He was an avid fisherman and greatly enjoyed the outdoors.

Surviving is his wife, Tracy LaBelle; six children: Steven (Becky) LaBelle of Montgomery, W.Va., Tammy LaBelle of Jamestown, Holly (Christopher) Gee of Falconer, Jamie Hester of North Carolina, Daniel Dias of Salamanca and Robert Dias of Jamestown; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jean (Scott) Cessna of Florida.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bertram La-Belle.

Friends will be received in a walk-through manner from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. Masks are required at all times. A private family service will be held.
