Sharon Clark Bykowski

Sharon Clark Bykowski, 79, of Cassadaga, N.Y., passed away peacefully at home on April 13, 2021. Sharon was born on March 11, 1942, in Springville, N.Y., to Eleanora and Richard (Dick) Clark.

Sharon was much beloved for her kindness, friendliness, her expertise in early education, and her commitment to her family and friends. Sharon enjoyed her family, friends, and the home she loved on Cassadaga lake.

Sharon graduated from Buffalo State Collage in 1964 where she majored in early education and began her teaching career upon graduation. Sharon retired from the Fredonia Central School District in 2008. Throughout her career, she made hundreds of meaningful connections with her students and coworkers.

Sharon was a passionate scholar of American History and was dedicated to sharing her knowledge with her students, and through the “Schoolhouse Project” in North Collins, N.Y., where she volunteered as an instructor for many years after retirement.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert Bykowski, her son Matthew of Arlington, Vermont, as well as her sister Margaret Smith (Hank) of Milford, Connecticut, and brother Brad (Margaret) of Springville, N.Y., as well as several nieces and nephews.

Sharon was predeceased by her parents Eleanora and Richard Clark.
