April Jean Michael
CATTARAUGUS — April Jean Michael went to be with the Lord on April 9, 2021. She was born May 11, 1948, to Ferdinand and Katherine Michael. April was employed by SubCon for many years and was honored there upon her retirement in 2015.
April was a member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Little Valley. In her leisure time she liked nothing better than going to yard sales and finding that perfect bargain. April had a flair for decorating and her collections of Angel’s, dolls, and Amish figurines graced her living space. April enjoyed attending the Olean chapter of the Woman’s Aglow group.
Most importantly, April will be remembered for her kind and loving heart. She was always thinking of ways to brighten the lives of others with thoughtful gestures. Once you gained her friendship, she was a loyal and faithful friend for life. The world is a better place because she was in it.
April was predeceased by her parents, a brother Jerome, aunts, uncles, and dear friends Richard and Bessie Milks Dechow and Richard and Lorraine Dechow Hawkins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the East Leon Wesleyan Church, 7996 Mosher Hollow Road, Cattaraugus.
Due to Covid restrictions, attendance will be limited to 75 people and masks are required.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
