Clarence I. Evans

Clarence was born in the White Township, Cambria County, P.A. May 3, 1933 the son of Thomas I. and Mae F. (Bush) Evans, he honorably served his country with the U. S. Army from 1950-1952.

Clarence was the beloved husband of Florence “Laurie” (Laney) Evans, they were married Oct. 2, 1953 in Homer City, P.A., Laurie passed away October 28, 2020.

Clarence retired from the Ford Stamping Plant in Woodlawn where he worked in production and manufacturing .

Clarence liked his daily walks through town after his retirement and the traveling him and Laurie were able to enjoy. He was a member of U.A.W. Local 897.

Surviving include 2 children, he was the loving father of Sandra L. (John Worthington) Claflin of Corfu and Dean M. (Dianna) Evans of Collins. Cherished grandfather of Nicole (Colten) Balentine, great grandfather to Jensen Balentine, also survived by nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents and wife of 67 years Clarence was preceded in death by 3 brothers; Carl, Ira and Arthur Evans.

There will be no prior visitation, a family graveside service will be observed at the Pine Hill Cemetery, Gowanda where Clarence will be laid to rest next to his wife Laurie .

Memorials, if desired, may be made to a local charity of ones choice .
