Ryan Short

Ryan Michael Short, 26, of 336 E. Main St., Falconer, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021, at UPMC Chautauqua following a long history and battle with seizures.

He was born Aug. 24, 1994, in Westfield and was the son of Tammie Simpson Swanson. He was a graduate of Falconer High School.

Ryan found his joy in various woodworking arts and crafts, gifting many of his friends and loved ones with his art. He enjoyed helping others – everybody and anytime.

He is survived by his mother, Tammie, of Falconer; a brother, Richard Allen and sister, Crystal (Ben) LaRoy; and his fiancee, Erin Teeft. Ryan was also the grandson of Gary and Karen Simpson; the nephew of Jim (Jen) Simpson, Sherrie Simpson and Lisa (Terry) Bergman; and the proud uncle of Cadence and Miles.

Ryan is preceded in death by his stepfather, Stephen R. Swanson who died May 20, 2016.

Following CDC requirements and COVID-19 restrictions for facemasks and social distancing, a walkthrough visitation will be held from 3-4 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home.

A private family funeral service will be held, led by the Rev. Rick LaDue.
