Joann B. Huntington

A life long area resident she was born Aug. 17, 1932, in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Edward and Helen Anderson Arnold.

Joann was a graduate of Jamestown High School and in earlier years was employed by Jamestown Mutual Life Insurance Company, Falconer Plate Glass and Blackstone Corporation.

She was a member of the Big Tree Sportsman Club and Henry Mosher Post 638, American Legion Auxiliary. Joann loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading, solitaire and playing cards.

Surviving are two daughters: Deb Huntington of Jamestown and Dawn (Brett) Rasmussen of Randolph; four grandchildren: Jim (Sarah) Karpinski, Brandi Renquin, Julie Karpinski, Jake Karpinski; six great grandchildren: Cali Karpinski, Mason, Chloe and Ethan Renquin, Madison and Kendall Martin.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Huntington whom she married Feb. 10, 1951, in St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Jamestown, who died Feb. 9, 1992.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Due to CDC and NYS COVID-19 regulations face masks will be required and social distancing observed for the visitation. Inurnment will be in Lake View Cemetery at a later date.
