Philip G. Cronk

Philip G. Cronk, 86, of Ellington passed away Wednesday (Jan. 13, 2021) in his home.

A lifelong area resident he was born Oct. 13, 1934 in the town of Gerry, the son of the late Gerald C. and Mary Lammers Cronk.

Philip was a graduate of Falconer High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War from 1954 to 1957.

He was employed by Cummins Engine retiring in 2000. After retirement he was employed by CARTS Transportation retiring in 2018.

Philip enjoyed antique cars having owned several Corvair cars. He also en-joyed wood carving and photography.

Surviving is his wife Laura M. Marsh Cronk whom he married October 25, 1958 in Orlando, FL; a son Karl (Stephanie) Cronk of Randolph; a daughter Kathleen Cronk (Brad Brai-nard) of Ellington; five grandchildren: Jessica Cuckler, Jacqueline Cronk, Jenna Mae Cronk, Marshall Cronk, Korina Cronk; two great grandchildren: Cyrus Cuckler and Lane Sherrod; a brother Kenneth (Claudia) Cronk of Kenosha, Wiscon-sin; a sister Laura Gilbert of Kennedy and a step brother Harry Walker of Ellington.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his step mother Sadie Walker Cronk in 1968 and two step sisters: Maxine Stacey and Norma Iacomni, brother-in-law Edwin Gil-bert.

A private graveside ser-vice will be held in Valley View Cemetery, Ellington. Visitation will not be ob-served.
