June I. Chapman Locke

June I. Chapman Locke, 87, formerly of Poland Center Road, Kennedy and Brookdale, Lakewood, passed away Monday (Dec. 7, 2020) in Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing.

A lifelong area resident, she was born Oct. 22, 1933, in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Elton and Katherine Deming Butts.

June was a graduate of Jamestown High School and prior to retirement was employed by Truck-Lite in Falconer.

She was a member of the Randolph Post 181 American Legion Auxiliary and Falconer Moose Lodge.

Surviving is her daughter-in-law, Sue Chapman; five grandchildren: Ryan (Dawn) Chapman, Randall Chapman, Ashley (Martin) Carlson, Cory Chapman, Breann Chapman Getridge (Matthew Getridge); seven great grandchildren: Mason Chapman, Kenna Getridge, Ayla Getridge, Zoe Carlson, Ava Chapman, Ian Chapman and Ivy Chapman.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Maynard C. Chapman, whom she married July 22, 1950, who died May 16, 1983; her second husband, Norman J. Locke whom she married Sept. 29, 1990, and who died Feb. 3, 2015; two sons: Bruce Chapman on April 23, 2011 and Allan Chapman on May 29, 2012; and a grandson, Aaron Chapman on Jan. 26, 1986.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Kennedy Riverside Cemetery.

Friends will be received by the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.

Due to CDC and NYS regulations of COVID 19 face masks will be required and social distancing observed.
