B. Elaine “Sally” Dudgeon Nash

B. Elaine “Sally” Dudgeon Nash, 97, of Frewsburg and formerly of Stuart, Fla., entered into rest with her Lord and Savior Nov. 4, 2020. She was born Aug. 19, 1923 in Russell, Pa., the daughter of Doris (Almendinger) and Ernest Stanton.

She graduated with honors from Lander High School.

Sally is survived by her children: Sandra (the late Walter) Donovan of Lehigh Acres, Fl., Norma (Jerry) Eklund of Frewsburg; Bruce (Julie) Dudgeon of Bemus Point; and a step-daughter, Sheila Nash of Cassadaga. Also surviving are eight grandsons, four great-grandsons, four great- granddaughters, one great-great-granddaughter, four step grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husbands, Paul Dudgeon and Orlando “Lindy” Nash; two brothers, William “Bill” and Kenneth “Jake” Stanton; a sister, Joyce Spicer; stepson, Larry Nash of Chicago; and great-gran-dson, Chad Jacobson, of Alaska.

She and Lindy owned and operated the Frewsburg Hotel for many years.

She was a member of Siloam Fellowship, Frewsburg, Frewsburg Historical Society, and a life member of the Frewsburg Fireman’s Auxiliary. Sally was always grateful for the help she received from the Frewsburg Fire Co. when Paul was injured and subsequently passed away.

Sally was an excellant golfer and won many golf championships including, Monterey Yacht & Country Club, Stuart, Fl, and Cable Hollow Golf Course, Russell, PA. Her family was foremost in Sally’s heart.

She was happiest when helping others, especially her children and grandchildren.

Due to Covid-19 there will be no visiting hours. There will be a private service with Pastor David Bush officiating.

Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg.

Arrangements are by the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg.
