Gunnard B. “Butch” Liliestedt Jr.

JAMESTOWN — Gun-nard B. “Butch” Liliestedt Jr., 75, of Jamestown, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2020, at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer In-stitute with family at his side.

He was born July 10, 1945, in Toledo, Ohio, the son of the late Gunnard B. Liliestedt Sr. and Mary Grace Gron Liliestedt.

Butch was a 1964 gradu-ate of Bemus Point Central School district. After gra-duation he proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.

He had worked for Cum-mins Engine in Lakewood as a metallurgical lab tech-nician.

Butch was a member of the War Veterans Recrea-tional Association, the Celoron American Legion Herman Kent Post 777, a former member of the Flu-vanna Volunteer Fire Department and a former gun safety instructor.

He enjoyed antique auto-mobiles, guns, lighthouses, boats, and family get-togethers.

Butch is survived by his wife, Linda Rae Hunt Liliestedt, whom he mar-ried March 27, 1993, in Lakewood, N.Y.; two chil-dren; Julie (Bob Boutelle) Liliestedt of Jamestown and James Liliestedt of Lake Worth, Fla.; two stepchild-ren; David (Kim) Rowe of Bemus Point, N.Y., and Kim (Mark) Baerwaldt of Boston N.Y.; three grandchildren; Jamie Rae Baerwaldt, Nathan Rowe and Cameron Rowe; two sisters: Sue (Richard) Liliestedt Thorpe of Fal-coner, and stepsister, Lynn (Robert) Wood Burlingame of Casselberry, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Carin Liliestedt Seaburg; and two brothers; Sean “Donny” Forbes Sr. and Gary Johnson.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there will be no immediate services. A graveside service with mili-tary honors will be held at the Mayville Cemetery at the convenience of the fam-ily as well as a celebration of life at a time and place to be announced.
