Charles J. “Chuck” Harrison

Charles J. “Chuck” Harrison, 68, of Seager Hill Road, Conewango Valley, passed away at 3:05 a.m., Friday (Octo. 23, 2020), at home after an extended ill-ness, with his family by his side.

He was born June 4, 1952, in Buffalo, the son of the late Charles P. and Mar-jorie Winifred (White) Harrison. Chuck was a 1970 graduate of Kenmore East High School in Tonawanda, N.Y., where he excelled at cross country and track.

Chuck retired from the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo after 30 years of service, where he worked his first 15 years as a Nurse’s Aide and the latter, in the maintenance department.

He was a member of the Conewango Baptist Church, where he was an usher and participated in Bible study. His interests included camping, bird watching, landscaping and woodworking.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Rosemary L. (Perry) Harrison,; a son, Brett Charles Harrison of Lock-port, N.Y.; three daughters; Ruth Luzak of Tonawanda, Nicole Elizabeth (Mark) Sutton of Buffalo and Sarah Luzak of Conewango Val-ley. He is additionally sur-vived by a sister, Gail Naab of Kenmore; and five grandchildren: Stephanie Sutton, Ava Meadows, Jay-dan Sutton, Aluna Dixon and Jessica James.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Marjorie; a son, John Paul Luzak on April 9, 2002; and a sister, Charlene Meinke.

Due to the restrictions of Covid-19 visitation will not be held. A memorial ser-vice will be held at the Conewango Baptist Church at a later date and will be announced by the Van-Rensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church St., Ran-dolph, N.Y.
