Marilyn E. Peters

Marilyn E. Peters of Westfield, N.Y., and Mesa, Ariz., went to be with our Lord on Aug. 19, 2020.

She was born in Brocton, N.Y., on May 5, 1946, to the late Frank H. and Frances E. (Zanghi) Grabowski.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 49 years, Steve Peters; her three sisters: Carol G. (John) Boltz of Portland, N.Y., Suzanne M. Johnston of Fredonia, N.Y., and Gina M. (Robert) Myers of Brocton, N.Y.; and her sister-cousin Sharon M. (John) Sloma- Haberman of North Tonawanda, N.Y. She is also survived by her uncle, John (Arlene) Zanghi; aunt Patricia Zanghi; in-laws: Alan (Judy) Peters of Philadelphia, Pa., and Susan Peters of Wesley Chapel, Fla.; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Marilyn remained an area resident for most of her life, living in Brocton, Portland, Westfield, and recently Mesa. She is a graduate of Brocton Central School and Bryant & Stratton College, she then became a legal secretary for 35 plus years for the late Attorney Charles R. Loveland.

Marilyn was a fourteen year stage four Pancreatic Cancer survivor. She treasured life and all its adventures with hope and the grace of God. Marilyn dearly loved her family and friends, always cherishing precious time spent together. She was a very creative artist and enjoyed baking, rock painting, drawing, decorating, photography, singing, dancing, traveling, and finding treasures via yard sales and thrift shops. She knew no stranger, was loved by many and will be missed by all, leaving us with many wonderful memories.

A celebration of life luncheon to honor Marilyn, will be on Oct. 17, 2020, at 2p.m., at the Brocton American Legion, 110 W. Main St., Brocton, N.Y. RSVP to Gina at 716-410-5527.

We are accepting donations to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. (giving @Roswell Park.org). A Tribute Record in Marilyn’s name has been established and will go toward Pancreatic Cancer Center Research.
