Carol A. Gregoreski
Carol A. Gregoreski, 76, of Dunkirk, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Oct. 31, 1943, in Tonawanda, N.Y., to Milton and Helen (Lucas) Moline. From the time she was toddler, Carol lived with and was raised by her paternal aunt, Lillian (Moline) Schrantz and her husband, Ed.
A lifelong resident of Dunkirk, Carol graduated from Dunkirk High School in 1961. She graduated from SUNY Fredonia in 1965 with a bachelor’s degree in teaching. She married Thomas R. Gregoreski Nov. 20, 1965, in Dunkirk, N.Y., and the two had celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in November 2015.
Carol stayed home raising their three children prior to working for Prudential Insurance and then retiring from DFT Communications. Carol had a beautiful smile and loved her family first. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports and loved to attend all of their school activities. She loved traveling with her husband and going on family trips and especially going on her girl trips with her two daughters. She also enjoyed the many trips going to visit her nieces with her daughters and her sister and best friend, Diane, and also going to Cleveland to visit her son and granddaughter. She enjoyed Sunday Fundays with family watching football, loved her wine club, enjoyed gardening and puzzles.
Survivors include her three children: Debra (Bruce) Brunner of Silver Creek, Mark Gregoreski of Rocky River, Ohio and Karen Gregoreski of Dunkirk; three grandchildren: Ethan and Tessa Brunner and Kate Gregoreski; her sister, Diane (Gene) Kaszuba of Dunkirk; sisters- in-law: Paulette Bienko, Sharon (Dennis) Wysocki and Sandy Gregoreski; brother-in-law, Tony Gregoreski; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, who died in October 2017; and her brother-in-law Mike Gregoreski.
Following the guidelines and protocols administered by the governor of New York, family and friends may call from 4-7 pm, Thursday, Sept. 24, at the McGraw Kowal Funeral Home.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, Sept. 25, at 10 a.m., in Blessed Mary Angela Parish, Church of St. Hyacinth.
