Jillian “Jay” Matthews
Jillian “Jay” Matthews, 23, of Jamestown, passed away June 27, 2020. He was born June 29, 1996, in Middletown, N.Y., a child of Stephanie Matthews and Joseph Mazyck.
After earning his GED Jay continued his education in the Job Corp. He was a loving and free spirit who would sit and talk to anyone. Jay was a jokester and was always that smiling face when you needed one. He was a beautiful soul who was loved by everyone. Jay will be deeply missed.
Jay is survived by his mother, Stephanie Matthews and stepfather, Devin Engler; his father, Joseph Mazyck; his grandparents, Roberta and Edward Loveridge; his siblings: Tiffaine, Alesha, and Moneera Matthews; and his nieces: Liberty and Ayiana Fish; and nephew, Christopher Fish.
Jay is preceded in death by his aunts: Adraine Hunter and Rhonda Jellma.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 2, 2020, from 11a.m. to 1p.m. at Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
