Louise N. Long 1937 to 2020
Louise Long, 82. of Panama, N.Y., passed away at 9:17 a.m., on Jan. 21, 2020, peacefully in her home.
She was born April 12, 1937, in Poland Center N.Y., the daughter of Gust and Flossie Norberg
She was a graduate of Cassadaga Valley High School in 1955.
She was proud to be a volunteer. She started her volunteering with the Red Cross Disaster Relief then went on to Red Cross Disaster Instruction, Red Cross Blood Program, RSVP, Chautauqua County Hall of Fame and the Rod and Gun Club of Lakewood. She was the Volunteer of the Year for Chautauqua County in 2016.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Don Long: two daughters: Pam Masters (Mike) and Cindy Fawcett (Jason); seven granddaughters: PeggyJo Masters (Jeff), Allison Kropff (CJ), Tayla Kavanaugh (Brendan), Eva Masters (Justin), Marla Hoffman (Brent), McKenzie Hunt (Michael) and Demi Nelson (Ed); and one great-granddaughter, Carlin Nelson.
She was preceded in death by an infant son; and her parents.
No funeral service will be held. She has chosen to have her body donated to the UB School of Medicine.
