Susie J. Mosier

Susie J. Mosier, 54, of Cattaraugus passed away Thursday (Dec. 12, 2019) in Olean General Hospital.

A lifelong area resident, she was born March 30, 1965, in Jamestown, the daughter of Susan E. Hallberg Troxell and James D. Mosier Sr.

Susie was a 1983 graduate of Pine Valley High School and had been employed by Bush Industries and West Valley Nuclear Site. Most recently she was employed by the Seneca Nation of Indians.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Gowanda and served as a Relief Society teacher and in the Primary Presidency of the Church. Her main love was for our Savior, Jesus Christ and His eternal grace and Atonement.

She loved her family and friends and served them to the best she could. She always put others needs and burdens first before her own.

Surviving are her son, Daniel L. Mosier of Cattaraugus; her mother and stepfather, Susan and Ellis Troxell of Falconer; her father and step, mother James D. and Roseann Mosier Sr. of Mountain City, Tenn.; two brothers: James D. Mosier Jr. of Falconer and Daniel (Marcy) Roush of Mayville; three sisters: Sheila (Robert) Donnell of Columbus, Pa., Stacy (Andy) Cooper of Fayetteville, N.C. and Sonya (Rick) Rettig of Jamesville, N.Y.; a half-brother, Patrick Mosier of Atlanta, Ga.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Bishop Earl “Buster” Gates of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will officiate. Burial will be in Cherry Creek Cemetery.

Friends will be received by the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
