Kevin K. Kelly

PANAMA — Kevin K. Kelly, 60, of 1730 Eddy Road, Panama, formerly of Mayville, passed away in his sleep on Friday, Dec. 20, 2019 while “snow birding” in Mesa, Ariz..

He was born Nov. 18, 1959, in Jamestown, N.Y., the son of the late John W. and Hazel P. Johnson Kelly.

Kevin and his wife owned and operated Blue Ribbon Detailing & RV Service and were suppliers of Adam’s Products. Prior to retirement, Kevin worked for 30 years at National Grid as a lineman, tree trimmer and a meter reader. Kevin never had just one job, while working at National Grid he also was an animal control officer for the Town of Harmony, a camp ranger for Camp Merz Boy Scout Camp, a photographer for The Post-Journal and Dunkirk Observer. He also was a freelance photographer and built race car engines for Mark Joy.

He belonged to the Family Motor Coach Association, Newmar Kountry Klub, Newmar Kountry Klub “FullTimers” Chapter, IBEW Local 97 electrical union, the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club, the Chautauqua County Corvette Club and the Boy Scouts of America.

Kevin enjoyed RVing, Corvettes, riding motorcycles and snowmobiles, golfing, bowling, hunting, drag racing cars and snowmobiles and detailing anything. He loved meeting new people and lending a helping hand to anyone in need. He cherished his time with his family and grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Robin L. Healey Kelly, whom he married Sept. 18, 2012, in Hawaii; two sons: Kevin K. (Brooke) Kelly Jr of Vail, Colo., and Kyle (Jennifer) Kelly of Cape Coral, Fla.; three step-daughters; Samantha Terry of Brooklyn, N.Y., Danielle (Isaac) Bailey of Buffalo, N.Y., and Megan Terry of Jamestown, N.Y.; six grandchildren: Brady and Mia Kelly of Connecticut, Ava Hall of Connecticut, Lily and Elaina Kelly of Cape Coral, FL and Kora Kelly of Vail, Colo.; two sisters; Kathaleen (Sam Calanni) Kelly-Crandall of Jamestown, N.Y., and Diane Costlow of Fayetteville, Ark; and a sister-in-law, Connie Kelly of Findlay, Ohio; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, John W Kelly, Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020, at Freay Funeral Home in Mayville (139 S. Erie St.). The Rev. Doug Kibbe will officiate. The family welcomes you to share your stories of Kevin with them immediately following the service at the North Harmony Senior Citizens Center (5377 Stow Ferry Road, Stow, NY 14785).

The family suggests memorials to be made to the Breast Cancer Network of WNY (3297 Walden Ave, Depew, NY 14043), or any other cancer research or veterans’ program of their choice.
