Irene D. Bloom

Irene D. Bloom, 97, formerly of Shatzle Drive, Warren and Jamestown, N.Y., passed away Dec. 25, 2019, at the Kinzua Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Irene was born Oct. 10, 1922, in Jamestown, N.Y., to the late, Axel W. and Cornelia (Largren) Norberg.

She was a 1941 graduate of Jamestown High School. She was employed at Blair Corporation for 22 years as supervisor of the mailing department, retiring in 1984.

She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church and St. Paul Lutheran Women.

Irene enjoyed traveling with her husband around the United States, along with a trip to Sweden. She enjoyed camping with family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren.

Irene is survived by one daughter, Nancy Davis, of Warren; two sons: Ronald Bloom and wife. Cheryl of Russell and Jerrold Bloom and wife, Althea of Simsbury, Conn.; eight grand- children; eight great- grandchildren; two nieces; and four nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death on Jan. 5, 2003, by her husband, Bernard C. Bloom, whom she married on Jan. 24, 1942, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Warren; and two brothers: Gunnard and Gust Norberg.

Friends will be received at St Paul Lutheran Church, 306 Conewango Ave., Warren, PA 16365 on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, for one hour prior to a funeral service, which will be held at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Lawrence Scofield, pastor, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the St Paul Lutheran Church, 306 Conewango Ave., Warren, PA 16365 or to Hospice of Warren County, 1 Main Ave. Warren, PA 16365.

Burial will be held at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Russell.
