He graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1976. He enjoyed playing football and was proud to see his grandson, Michael, follow in his footsteps as an Eisenhower Knight. He married Donna (Savko) Fry on May 7, 1977, in Warren, Pa. They had two children: Becky and Jeffrey. He tragically lost his son, Jeffrey on Sept. 8, 2003, and his life was forever changed.

He worked for Sylvania for several years before beginning his lifelong career at Betts Industries. He retired in 2019 after 34 years of employment. He was a member of Lakewood Rod & Gun Club and the Sugar Grove AMVETS, where he enjoyed going to visit with friends.
