He was a hard working man who took great pride in his home and yard. He could often be seen mowing with his faithful John Deere. He owned two additional antique John Deere tractors, a Model A and a Model B, of which he was very proud.

David is survived by his wife of 27 years, Kathy (Russell) Crowell, whom he married March 28, 1992; his son, Matthew (TJ) Crowell of Sinclairville, N.Y.; his two stepdaughters: Julie Morton and her husband, David, of Ashville, N.Y. and Tara Hoitink and her husband, Kevin of Clymer, N.Y. He is further survived by his brothers: Douglas (Jan) Crowell and Keith (Barbara) Crowell, all of Cherry Creek, N.Y. and Paul (Elaine) Crowell of Wake Forest, N.C.
