Michael K. Moore
Michael K. Moore, 69, of 296 Baker St., died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019, in his home.
A lifelong Jamestown resident, he was born March 10, 1950, the son of the late F. Kenneth and Pearl Anderson Moore .
He was a 1968 graduate of Jamestown High School.
He was a Vietnam War veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving aboard the USS Enterprise from 1968-71.
He was employed by Zurn Industries as an assembler. He earlier had worked for Hills Department Store from the time started in Jamestown until it ceased operation.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where he was confirmed as a child.
He enjoyed hunting and cooking.
Surviving are three sisters: Shirley (Joseph) Sanfilippo of Jamestown, Sheila (Steven) Neely of Manzanola, Colo., and Sharon Lundberg of Jamestown; and nieces and nephews: Joseph (Wendy) Sanfilippo, John (Becky) Sanfilippo, Theresa (Jeff) Levandoski, Joshua Neely, Kimberley (Aaron) Anderson and Eric (Rachel) Lundberg.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Scott Lundberg.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Tara Eastman will officiate.
Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
