Robert H. Colburn Sr.

Robert H. Colburn Sr., 85, of Falconer passed away Friday, Aug. 9, 2019, in UPMC Chautauqua.

He was born May 19, 1934 in Bradford, Pa., the son of the late Harold and Eva Watson Colburn Sr.

Bob was a graduate of Jamestown High School and prior to retirement was employed by MRC retiring in 1996.

Bob was a member of the Herman Kent Post 777, Chautauqua Lake Fishing Association, Eastside Fellowship, Jamestown Moose Club, VVA and War Vets Recreation. He enjoyed his family, golfing, bowling, camping, camping at Hidden Valley and spending winters in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Surviving are his son Randy (Ellen) Colburn of Falconer; three daughters, Carol (Russell) Hartzell of Jamestown, Sylvia Houghwot (Barry Archer) of Celoron, Penny (Steve) Hampton of Pennsylvania; 11 grandchildren, Dan Colburn, Amanda Colburn, Allison Colburn, Michael Colburn, Ryan (Vanessa Kohl) Colburn, Russell (Wendye) Hartzell, Tara Hartzell, Summer Clark, Caleb Nearing, Andrew Milner, Joshua Houghwot; numerous great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Arlene Seekings Colburn whom he married Oct. 3, 1953, who died Sept. 16, 2014; a son Robert H. Colburn Jr. on Aug. 14, 2004; three brothers, Harold Colburn Jr., Richard Colburn, Roger Colburn; and two sisters, Vivian Devlieger, Geraldine Meredith.

The Colburn family would like to thank the doctors and staff at UPMC Chautauqua for the care Bob received while in their care.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Ron Lemon pastor of Kiononia Christian Fellowship will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.

Friends will be received by the family from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
