Barbara Dawn Parkman Newcomb
Barbara Dawn Parkman Newcomb, 78, of Venice, Fla., passed away Friday, June 14, 2019. She was born to the late A. Duane Parkman and Beverly Parkman on Jan. 27, 1941.
Barbara graduated from Penn Yan Central School District, Penn Yan, N.Y. She was an active member in church, Grace United Methodist Church, Venice, Fla. She had a passion for reading, Sudoku, jigsaw puzzles and all things outdoors. She recently moved back to upstate New York after many years in Arkansas and Florida. She enjoyed watching a true spring blossom, reminding her of many memories from her childhood with her brothers: James Parkman, Jeffery Parkman and Paul Parkman.
Barbara is survived by her children: Katharine Paulson, Stephen Green, Amy McElhinney and Patricia Greene; and nine grandchildren.
A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held Aug. 24, 2019, in Derby, N.Y.
