Kathryn R. Nalbone

Kathryn R. Nalbone, 63, of Jamestown, N.Y., loss her battle to cancer on Sunday, July 21, 2019. Kathy passed peacefully knowing she was surrounded by love of her family and friends.

A lifelong resident, Kathy was born March 16, 1956, to the late Angelo J and Loretta M Apotosh Nalbone.

Kathy enjoyed a childhood that involve many family gatherings with her grandmother, nana, aunts, uncles and many cousins. She attended Jamestown High School.

Kathy was employed by Aldi Inc. for the past 13 years. She was a favorite there with her customers and co-workers. They all loved her and she loved all of them. She was known for her kindness and always had a smile. In her early days, she worked at Burger King, Fenton Park Nursing home, Jamestown YMCA -parent child swim and women’saerobics, Quality Markets and the Post Office. She later went on to work at Chautauqua Opportunities Head Start, where she was a family advocate. She attended college in Buffalo, while working at Head Start. She then went on to work at Foodland in the deli before her employment with Aldi Inc. She also worked for Scott’s Farm on her days off from Aldi.

Kathy shared her life with her love, best friend and partner in everything, Bradley Anderson. They went everywhere and did everything together. He was her rock and caretaker through this battle with cancer. She could depend on him day and night. He was always by her side along with their four cats: Fender, Duke, Gibson and Reesie.

Kathy is survived her life companion, Bradley Anderson; her four children: Marvin A Yonkers Jr. of Bemus Point, N.Y., Mischelle (Kurt) Scott of Sinclairville, N.Y., Cory Nalbone of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Nichole (Mario) Olvey of Jamestown, N.Y. She adored her grandchildren: Casey (Ricky) Alverez of Lenexa, Kans., Hannah M. Yonkers of Sinclairville, Rose C. Tran of Liberty, S.C., Michael Burham of Jamestown, N.Y. and two stepgrandchildren: Ashley and Zackery Scott; her brother, Peter J. (Leslie) Nalbone of Lakewood, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her infant sister, Ann who died January 1951.

Services will be held at Migliore Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Phelps, Hospice chaplian and the Rev. Dennis Mende from Holy Apostle Parish officiating. A prayer service and celebration of Kathy’s life will be Friday, July 28, at 2 p.m. with calling hours to follow until 5 p.m.
