Noyes C. “Sam” Simmons

Noyes C. “Sam” Simmons, 80, of Cherry Creek, went to his final rest, Thursday, May 30, 2019.

Born Jan. 14, 1939 in the Town of Charlotte a son of the late Floyd and Florella Bagordus Simmons.

He was employed from the age of 16 and for more than 35 years at Crawford Furniture, Falconer until his retirement.

Noyes enjoyed being busy mowing the lawn, fixing things around the house, visiting and heckling employees of the Kennedy Supermarket and at his bank.

Husband of 48 years to Julia F. Cole Simmons who he married July 9, 1969 and died Aug. 25, 2017; father of, Penny (Scott) Bickle, Jacky (Herman) Eddy, Susan (Arthur) Elder, Peggy (George) Moriarty, David (Stephanie) Snyder, Polly (William) Backus and Samantha (Todd) Parkhurst; grandfather of 19, including the late Olivia Eddy; great-grandfather of 27; great-great-grandfather of two; brother of, Audrey (Butch) Wynn, Shirley, Ernest (Bertha), Alvin (Barbara) and the late Edwin, Albert and Robert Simmons; brother-in-law of Clare and Dusty Simmons. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life 11 a.m. Monday in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville. Visitation one hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial in Charlotte Center Cemetery.
