Harold H. Spaulding

Harold H. Spaulding, 93, of Ellington, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019, at Heritage Village Rehab & S.N., surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Dec. 27, 1925, in the Town of Conewango, a son of the late Harold and Cecil Fuller Spaulding.

He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S, Army.

Harold was employed at the Town of Charlotte Highway Department for over 25 years.

He was a lifetime member of Ellington Rod & Gun and former member of the Samuel L. Derby American Legion Post 556.

Harold enjoyed fishing, woodworking, camping and spending time on the porch with his wife.

Husband of 37 years to Emmalene “Emmie” Peru Spaulding and the late Carrie Green Spaulding; father of Susan (Don) Josephson, Lynn (Jim) Bowersox, Jan (Kevin) Spinler, Dennis (Grace) Ridout and Sam (Lyaine) Spaulding; step- father of Elsie (Lee) Livermore, Paul Joy, Maxine (Kenneth) Brightman, Bonnie (Butch) Whitacre, Claude (Roberta) and Jim (Terry) Chamberlin, Carol (Larry) Barmore, Wendy (Al) Cobbe, David (Trish), Jeffery (Donna), Allen (Marlana), Steven (Marlena) Hitchcock and the late Robert Chamberlin; step father-in-law of Dixie Chamberlin; grandfather, great-grandfather and great- great-grandfather of numerous grandchildren, including Keith Hitchcock; brother of the late Inez Raymond, Frances Sudel, Elton and Eugene Spaulding. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. Burial, with military honors provided by Cassadaga Memorial American Legion 1280, will be in Charlotte Center Cemetery.

Please Note: The Spaulding family will not be attending this funeral service or visitation. They will be holding a separate celebration of life for family and friends at 1 p.m.. Saturday in the Cassadaga Memorial American Legion Post 1280, 228 Maple St., Cassadaga.
