George G. Deering Jr.

He was born Feb. 6, 1937, in Cherry Creek, a son of the late George and Vera DeGolier Deering.

He was a self-employed dairy farmer and had worked for over 20 years for the former Sterlingworth Furniture, Falconer in the polishing room.

George was a member of the Dairy Farmers of America and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Husband of 60 years to Judith A. Shoemaker Deering, whom he married Sept. 19, 1959; father of Teresa of Sinclairville and Jeffrey (Karen) Deering of Cassadaga; grandfather of Kim, Kaylee and the late Justin Deering; brother of Erma Jean (late “Scottie”) Scott of Westfield, Don (Norma) of Falconer, and the late Gilbert (late Harriet) and Robert (late Phoebe “Jane”) Deering. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville, with visitation from 4-7 p.m. Friday. Private burial in Charlotte Center Cemetery.

Flowers gratefully declined. The family asks for assistance in paying funeral expenses.
