Frederick Smith, 76, of Jamestown, passed away Thursday (May 9, 2019) in Buffalo General Hospital, Buffalo, N.Y.
He was born Jan. 4, 1943. in Olean, N.Y., the son of the late Frederick N. and Elvira Gagliardi Smith.
Fred enjoyed attending the Resource Center Day Hab Program and was a member of the programs choir. He also enjoyed bowling, dancing, country music and watching “Dancing With The Stars.”
He is survived by his brother, George Smith; two sisters: Sandra (Gary) Crane and Sharon Ellis; his extended family and caregiver, Cheryl Stewart; Georgianna Ribing, Rachel Baglia, Beth Bundy, Cindy (Doug) Penhollow; and extended grandchildren: Tobi, Trey, Claire; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Jamestown Community Chapel, 35 Camp St., Jamestown, NY 14701.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service Tuesday in the church.
