Brenda L. Angelo

Brenda L. Angelo

Brenda L. Angelo, 65, of 22 Olive Ave., Lakewood, N.Y. received her wish “to sit at the feet of Jesus” in the early evening hours of Feb. 8, 2019 after a 14-month battle with pancreatic cancer. She has joined her parents, John and Pauline White Larson, who died in 2002 and 2003 respectively.

Brenda was born Nov. 12, 1953 on her brother, Earl John’s fifth birthday. She was the pride and joy of her big sister, Elaine Larson Weaver, who at the age of 10, had a real-life baby doll to play with and cuddle. She married Charles (Chuck) Angelo on March 26, 1977 and together they raised two sons, Corey and Chad Angelo.

Brenda loved children as much as she loved God and all children loved her in return. She retired from B.O.C.E.S on Nov. 1, 2018 after 30 years of service due to her health and missed her students and co-workers very much. She was an active member of the Busti Church of God, where she grew up and was raised in a Christian environment. She took over the leadership of the Awana Club after her food friend fell ill and was able to keep it going for couple more years. She enjoyed teaching little kids about Jesus and made an impact on many of their lives. Even as a teenager she befriended those that needed friends.

Surviving are her husband, Chuck; two sons, Corey Angelo and Chad (Jennifer) Angelo; grandchildren, Brooke Angelo of Lakewood, Cason, Gage and Hadley Angelo of Gastonia, N.C. and Abby Manelick of Warren, Pa; her brother: Earl Larson of Lakewood; her sister: Elaine (Bill) Weaver of Lakewood, N.Y.; her sister-in-law: Iva Vicari of Sheridan and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death, by her parents, several aunts and uncles and her brother-in-law: Lenny Vicari.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at the Busti Church of God, 996 Forest Ave. Ext., Jamestown, N.Y. Pastor Roy Ferguson, pastor of the church will officiate. Brenda’s greatest desire was to make sure her family and friends knew Jesus so that she would see them all again.

To help further her desire, memorials may be made to the Busti Church of God to further their ministry.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Powers, Present & Sixbey Funeral Home, Inc., 316 E. Fifth Street, Jamestown, NY.
