Roger L. Steger
Roger L. Steger of Fredonia, passed away Jan. 5, 2019, at home surrounded by his family. He was born Nov. 23, 1934, in Fredonia, to the late Harry A. and Minnie I. (Frasier) Steger. Roger married the love of his life, Sally Bialaszewski on June 18, 1955. They were happily married for 63 years at the time of his passing. Together they raised six children: Sandra Lee of Fredonia, Donald (Cathy) Steger of Fredonia, Dale (Cheryl) Steger of Ripley, Rodney (Rhonda) Steger of Forestville, Harry Steger of Ohio, and Sharon (Tom) Atwell of Gerry. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his sister, Marie Emke of Portland; his brother, James Steger of Fredonial; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Wise; his brothers: Bruce, Robert, and Jay; and granddaughter, Samantha Steger.
Calling hours will be held Saturday from 11 am to 1 p.m., at the LARSON- TIMKO Funeral Home, 20 Central Avenue, Fredonia, where funeral services will follow at 1 pm. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, NY.
