Frank W. “Bill” Snyder

Born July 16, 1942, in Olean, he was the son of Frank H. and Anna M. Kraft Snyder. On Nov/ 25, 1964, at the First Presbyterian Church in Olean, he married Marcia Bea Russell who predeceased him on April 2, 2006.

Frank was a 1960 graduate of Olean High School and worked as a long distance trucker for various companies until his retirement.

When not working, he enjoyed fishing on Chautauqua Lake. He also loved music. In his earlier years, he sang with the barbershop quartet group, the Jamestown Harmony Express. As a husband, he supported his wife in her many endeavors to help others in the Olean area communities.

He loved and missed his two departed canine companions: Sarah and Bebe.

Surviving are a sister Rosemary Snyder of Mayville; two nieces: Jennifer (Rene Cannon) Manwarren of North Carolina and Theresa (Aaron) Hampton of Michigan; one nephew, Kirk (Kathy) Osgood of Texa;s and a great-nephew, Dustin (Sandra) Platz of Bradford, Pa.

A celebration of life service will take place in the spring of 2019 at a time, date and place to be announced. Inurnment will be in Allegany Cemetery.
