Eivor D. Kellor

Eivor D. Kellor, 79, of Northrup Road, Jamestown, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, in her home.

An area resident all of her life, she was born Aug.20, 1939, in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Ragnar and Victoria Pettersson Thelander.

She was a 1957 graduate of Jamestown High School and later graduated from Jamestown Business College.

Prior to her retirement she was employed in the offices of Blackstone Corp.

She was a member of First Church of God where she served as pianist and organist for many years. Her other memberships include Lamplighters, Lakewood Busti Golden Agers, Town of Poland Seniors, Busti Fire Department Auxiliary and AARP. She always enjoyed traveling with the senior citizens grous.

Eivor was known throughout the area as an organist, pianist, accompanist and vocalist, always graciously willing to step in and help when there was a need. She sang and accompanied in many churches and cantatas during her career. Eivor loved the Jamestown High School A’Cappella choir, having been a member and accompanist when she was a Jamestown High School student. Eivor and her husband enjoyed many active sports, participating in roller skating, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, ice skating, fishing and hunting.

Surviving is a brother Jerald (Carla) Thelander of Castle Rock, Colo.; three stepchildren: David (Edna) Keller of Sugar Grove, Pa., Donald (Gail) Keller of Busti, N.Y., and Laura Deck of Rutherfordton, N.C.; two nephews: Erik (Julie) Thelander of Castle Pines, Colo., and Andrew (Amanda) Thelander of Park City, Utah; and two great-nephews: Weston and Jonas Thelander.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Keller, whom she married March 26, 1982, and who died Aug. 29, 2011; and a brother, Roy Thelander, who died Oct. 21, 2011.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in First Church of God where friends will be received for one hour prior to the service. Following the service, there will be a reception at the Busti Fire Hall.

Burial will be in Busti Cemetery.
