David F. Rose

David F. Rose, 67, of 54 Second Mill St., Sheffield, Pa., formerly of Sinclairville and Jamestown, died Monday, Aug. 27, 2018, at UPMC Hamot in Erie.

He was born Sept. 27, 1950, in Jamestown, a son of the late Floyd D. and Leona Albaugh Rose Jr.

Prior to retirement, David had been employed by Cummins Engine in Lakewood.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Surviving are his wife, Connie Johns Rose, whom he married Nov. 6, 1971; five daughters: Kelly Abbey of Copley, Ohio, Michelle Donaldson of Kennedy, N.Y., Heather Baynes of York, Pa., Autumn Helms of Jamestown and Holly Sethuramalingam of St Louis, Mo.; and 12 grandchildren: Eric and Ethan Surena, Damaian, Isaac and Joseph Jr. Helms, Bridgette and Rosemarie Donaldson, Ashlynn Kelly, Mitchell Abbey, Brooke Almquist, Aditya Sharma and Bailey Sethura- malingam. Also surviving are three brothers: Donald, Paul and Steven Rose; and a sister, Diane Patterson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Star Rose; and two brothers, Robert Wrobelski and Ronald Rose.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home, with visitation for two hours prior to the service (from noon to 2 p.m.) Saturday in the funeral home.

Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
