Clayton D. Scott

Clayton D. Scott, 80, was called home, Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, surrounded by his family at the home of his sister. Clayton was formerly of 110 Francis St., Jamestown and 1412 Riverside Road, Frewsburg, N.Y.

He was born on April 20, 1938, in Frewsburg, the son of H. Allison and Lorena E. Lawson Scott.

Clayton had been employed at the former Randolph Dimensions before retiring in 2001. He had also worked for Nelson Brothers Lumber, Sterling’s, and other area wood shops.

Clayton had a love for working with wood, spending time with his family, and going to auctions and garage sales.

He was an avid train and Mickey Mouse collector.

Surviving are a daughter, Pamela Seekings of Jamestown; two stepchildren: Thomas (Robin) Wachter of Salamanca and Rhonda (Ellery) Bauer of Celoron; three grandchildren: Brittanii, Ashlyn and Tyler Seekings of Jamestown; eight stepgrandchildren: Thomas V. Wachter of Georgia, Christina Lanphere, Victor Mathews, Jeffrey Parker, Marissa and James Meuker and Brandi Walters of Jamestown, and Kelly Meuker of Celoron; five great-grandchildren: Kailee Seekings, Jayden Lee, Amarah, Jashara, and Lamariana Mosley, all of Jamestown; twelve step- great-grandchildren; a sister, Carolyn Widmark of Frewsburg with whom he made his home; a brother, H. Allison (Lois) Scott of Dunkirk; a sister-in law, Ethel Scott of Frewsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife and best friend, Naomi “Fay” Scott in 2011; two brothers: Duwayne Scott in 2007 and Elliott Scott in 2013, a brother-in-law, James Widmark in 2007; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Scott in 2018.

The family would like to thank Hospice for all there care and support.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg. Burial will be in Ivory Cemetery, Frewsburg.

The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service in the funeral home.
