Catherine V. (Vilardo) Strobl

Catherine V. (Vilardo) Strobl, 58, of Williamsville, N.Y., formerly of Erie, Pa., and Westfield, N.Y., passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, at Millard Filmore Suburban Hospital of Williamsville, following an extended illness.

Catherine was born on Sept. 23, 1959, in Westfield, NY, the oldest daughter of Roberta (Casler) Vilardo of Williamsville and the late Carl Vilardo Jr.

A 1977 Graduate of Westfield Academy and Central School, Cathy earned her bachelor’s degree in business ddministration from Mercyhurst College in 1981. She married Mark E. Strobl on Sept. 4, 1982, in the former St. James Major Church of Westfield. Cathy had been employed by Jostens Inc. in the Erie, Pa. office for several years.

Cathy’s family was everything to her. As much as she enjoyed working outside the home, her main love was caring for her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and daughter-in- law. She enjoyed gardening, working around her home and her beloved dog, Bailey.

In addition to her mother, Roberta, Cathy is survived by her husband of almost 36 years, Mark E. Strobl and their children: Bradley and his wife, Linsay Strobl of North Canton, Ohio, and Dr. Jenna Strobl, PharmD of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Cathy was the proud grandmother of Carson Strobl also of North Canton, Ohio. She is further survived by her brother, Carl (Lynn) Vilardo III of Westfield, N.Y.; and by her sister, Lisa M. (Vilardo) Orlando, of Clinton, N.Y. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends may call on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018, from 2-5 p.m., at the MASON Funeral Home 37 Clinton St, Westfield, and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, Sept. 3, 2018, at 11a.m., at St. Dominic’s Roman Catholic Church, 15 Union St., Westfield, NY with Msgr. Albert Clody officiating. Private burial will be in Westfield Cemetery.
