Melody E. Lebowitz

An area resident most of her life, she was born May 15, 1989, in Owensboro, Ky., the daughter of Morris Lebowitz and Stacey Povich.

Melody was a 2007 graduate of Jamestown High School and attended Jamestown Community College. She was a tutor with Chautauqua Striders and attended St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, singing in the choir.

Surviving are her mother Stacey of Jamestown; father, Morris (Robin) of Pittsburgh; siblings: Marc (Caitlin) Patrick, Morrissa (Kyle) Marucci and Patrick Lebowitz, all of Pittsburgh, Jaynee Osborne of Jamestown and Zach Osborne of Mayville; paternal grandmother, Joan McDonald of Kentucky; many aunts and uncles in Pennsylvania; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Brandon Osborne; paternal grandfather, Jay Lebowitz; and maternal grandparents, Marylou “Nanny” and Pete “Jedo” Povich.

Family and friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, in the Lind Funeral Home. Please bring a favorite memory or photo to share in a scrap book. The Rev. Luke Fodor will lead a prayer service during visitation.
