James E. Frye

He was born Sept. 14, 1934, in Hunker, Pa., the son of the late James E. Frye and Mable Frye Asel.

James was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, serving from 1952 until 1955.

He enjoyed fishing, boating, and hunting.

Surviving are two daughters: Donna (Orie) Tubbs of Panama and Deborah Frye; five grandchildren: Coty, Greg, Heather, Jessie, and Jamie; several great-grandchildren, including Mackenzie and Madison; and several family members in Chester, W.V.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Helen Butler Frye, whom he married March 12, 1955, and who died Jan. 7, 2017.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.

Burial will be in the Panama Union Cemetery.
