Lucille E. Lundgren

Lucille E. Lundgren, 86, of 4390 Harris Hill Road, Falconer, N.Y., passed away at 10:37 a.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2017, in the Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility.

A lifelong area resident, she was born March 13, 1931, in Ellington, N.Y., a daughter of the late Clifford and Doris Mead Olmstead.

Before her retirement she was employed by the Weber-Knapp Company for 13 years and in previous years had worked for the 7-Up Bottling Company for several years.

She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who loved to tend to her garden and spent many hours roller skating at the former Evans Skateland in Celoron, N.Y. She was a member of the Fargo Mother’s Club.

Surviving are her husband, Robert R. Lundgren, whom she married on Oct. 3, 1948; two daughters: Ann (Clifford) Powers, and Kay (Andrew) Robinson, both of Lakewood, N.Y.; two sons, Robert (Brenda) Lundgren of Frewsburg, N.Y., and Jerry (Devonne) Lundgren of Jamestown, N.Y.; nine grandchildren: Cindy Connolly of Forestville, N.Y., Marcy Miller of Sinclairville, N.Y., Shelly Hopkins of Middletown, DE, Andrew Robinson Jr. of Lakewood, Amy Schumacher of Mt. Prospect, IL, Ryan Lundgren of Falconer, N.Y., Matthew Lundgren of Carthage, N.Y., Craig Lundgren of Norfolk, VA, Julie Lundgren of Arlington, VA; 19 great-grandchildren; a sister, Viola Edson of Sinclairville, N.Y.; and a brother, Jay Olmstead of Sinclairville, N.Y.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Savannah Hopkins.

Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service for Lucille will be held at a later date.

Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Gerry, N.Y.
