Amy Kathleen Kuenzi

Amy Kathleen Kuenzi, 48, of Lynchburg, Va., went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, after an almost two-year battle against cancer. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Richard Kuenzi. Born in Westfield, N.Y., on Aug. 12, 1964, she was the daughter of Vermont and Sally Blakeslee, Panama, N.Y. Amy graduated from Panama Central School in 1982. In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by one son, Ryan (Tiffany) Kuenzi, Rustburg, Va.; one daughter, Richele (J. David) Walston, Lyn-chburg, Va.; three grandchildren: Madeline Kuenzi, Clara Kuenzi and William Walston; two brothers: T. Dene (Pam) Blakeslee, Ashville, N.Y., and V. David (Amy) Blak-eslee, Cumming, Ga.; two sisters: Holly (Mike) Clark, Panama, N.Y., and Amanda Durnell, Kalamazoo, Mich.; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, William Jr. and Eloise Kuenzi, Blanchardville, Wis.; and many caring in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Amy was known for her welcoming, lively, and lov-ing personality. Amy was a follower of Christ and “totally in love with Him.” She was a member of Tho-mas Road Baptist Church for the past seven years. Amy was employed by Randolph College for the past eight years. She also studied many courses there, including some of her favorite subjects: art history and astronomy. Amy was a lover of the arts. She enjoyed creating stained glass pieces and photography, painting, and worshipping God through music. She was also an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at Pate Chapel, Thomas Road Baptist Church, Lynchburg, Va., with Pastor Jon Dupin officiating. The family will receive friends and guests at Pate Chapel between 1-2 p.m. immediately prior to the memorial service. Friends and guests are invited to join the family for refreshments immedi-ately after the service at Bruner Hall, adjacent to Pate Chapel.
