City Man Jailed On Burglary Charges

A Jamestown man accused of breaking into a northside home, then caught attempting to enter another, is facing burglary charges.

Cody A. DiDomenico, 27, was waiting to appear in Jamestown City Court for arraignment on charges of second-degree burglary, trespass and two counts of petit larceny.

Officers responded at 4:45 p.m. Sunday to a Falconer Street residence for a reported burglary in progress. The homeowner told officers he heard someone upstairs in his home and called 911. An investigation found that DiDomenico allegedly broke into the residence and took a cellphone and other property.

DiDomenico was later found “as he was attempting to enter another city resident’s home,” Jamestown police said in a news release. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ CHAUTAUQUA — Jamie C. Weary, 25, of Mayville, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI with a BAC of 0.08% or greater, moving from lane unsafely and unregistered motor vehicle. Deputies stopped a vehicle on Route 394 at 12:26 a.m. Monday for a lane violation. An investigation found that Weary was intoxicated. She is scheduled to appear in Chautauqua Town Court later.

¯ Christopher R. Terhune, 38, of Jamestown, was charged with petit larceny. Terhune was taken into custody at 10:45 a.m. Monday resulting in a shoplifting investigation in which Terhune allegedly took binoculars from a store without paying. Terhune is scheduled to appear in court later.

WESTFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Gary R. Schebell, 52, of Windsor, Conn., was charged with failure to obey a traffic control device, no/insufficient tail lamps, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, refusal to take breath test, driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI. Officers stopped a vehicle at 11:03 p.m. Saturday on Clinton Street in the village of Westfield after failing to stop at a stop sign and having a bad tail light. Schebell is scheduled to appear in court later.
