LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Sara E. Johnson, 42, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny and third-degree burglary. A warrant was served Saturday on Johnson, who was observed at Walmart on Feb. 18 taking items and passing all points of sale without paying. She later fled in a vehicle. Johnson is scheduled to appear in Busti Town Court later.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ Jordan JL Eckwahl, 34, of Bemus Point was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. Eckwahl was taken into custody at 12:05 a.m. Monday on an active warrant from Jamestown police. He was allegedly found in possession of a small of methamphetamine and drug packaging material. Eckwahl is scheduled to appear in Ellery Town Court later and was turned over to the Jamestown Police Department for the warrant.

CHARLOTTE — An arrest has been made in an alleged grand larceny in the town. Sheriff’s deputies said the investigation was concluded when it was determined that Jennifer Blake, 32, of Sinclairville, stole property of another which included a credit card in addition to several other items. Blake was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and petit larceny and later released with an appearance ticket.

Blake is due in the town of Charlotte Court at a later date.

WESTFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT

WESTFIED — A 48-year-old man is facing a number of charges stemming from a domestic dispute that occurred Friday at 10 Jefferson St.Village police report they conducted a warrant check around 11 p.m. Sunday at the residence. During a search, officers were able to locate Howard F. Nichols who was hiding in an upstairs bedroom and taken into custody. The warrant of arrest involved the following charges: criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, second-degree harassment and second-degree criminal contempt. During an investigation, it was found that Nichols was violating a court order of protection in the presence of officers. That led to a second charge of criminal contempt. He was transported to Westfield Police Department and then transported to county jail. He will be in village court to answer the charges later.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ LEON — Deputies responded at 1:59 p.m. Sunday to a crash on Cherry Creek Hill Road at the intersection of West Road in the town of Leon involving a car and Amish buggy. Both occupants of the vehicle were transported to UPMC Chautauqua. The operator of the buggy was uninjured.
